Join us in the spotlight with Emma Stiggleman

Today we are highlighting Emma Stiggleman. Emma graduated in 2020 from IU with a degree in HR Management and joined Steele as a Customer Success Specialist. Within a year, Emma was promoted to Customer Success Manager. We chatted with Emma to learn more about her.

Why did you join Steele? I always knew I wanted to work for a small company after graduation and Steele’s core values really aligned with my own. I have been given so many opportunities at Steele and it has been challenging but rewarding.

How would you describe your role? As a Customer Success Manager, I am the main point of contact for my clients. I oversee the entire enrollment process for my groups, and work with their HR team, brokers, and carriers to help them manage employee benefits on our platform year-round.

Describe a typical workday. My workday is never the same. Some days I travel to visit clients, or I have meetings for projects I am working on. I also help develop the client workbook, (I gather the information for their enrollment platforms.) I work with Sales and Marketing when we get new clients. I also work closely with Technology to verify all the information is incorporated and working correctly.

What are some challenges in your role? Making sure communication is timely and accurate can be challenging because we collaborate with brokers, carriers, clients, and our team. We want to make sure that everyone has what they need on time. There are a lot of moving parts, so it is important to build trust and maintain strong relationships.

Outside of work, what kind of hobbies do you have? Right now, things are mellow. Mostly, I like to walk my dog and spend time outside when the weather is nice. I love spending time with my family and friends.

What is an interesting fact few people know about you? I have an identical twin sister. She lives in the same neighborhood as me, so we spend a lot of time together.

If you were shipwrecked on a deserted island, but all your human needs—such as food and water—were taken care of, what two items would you want to have with you? I would bring my dog and my phone so I can watch TikTok.

If you had a choice between two superpowers, being invisible or flying, which would you choose? Right now,I would choose flying because I can avoid traffic and I would love to get to places faster.
