For 15 years Wes Steele has been helping employees enroll in benefits. For the first several years, Wes did enrollments himself. Now, the Steele team of 23 employees and 100+ enrollers help 80,000 employees enroll in benefits every year. Nearly that entire block of employees enroll in full core benefit enrollments, with employees considering medical insurance, dental insurance, and worksite products from accident to life to pet insurance.
This training isn't just about helping you sell more insurance - it's about helping you better serve the employees you meet with. When enrollers do effective work, we help the workforce be more financially, physically, and mentally well.
This training will focus on several components of an effective enrollment, including:
- Rapport building,
- Procedural check boxes for each enrollment meeting,
- Core benefits discussion, i.e. medical insurance, and
- Skillfully positioning worksite products, i.e. accident insurance.
It's true that many enrollments are funded by the sale of worksite products, and that "selling" is important. But, when you put the employee first and position products the right way, enrollers are a tremendous asset to your customer as an educator for financial wellness. Be sure not to abuse your position that includes power and influence, and be sure to keep employees' needs in the center of what you do!
